Main. I’ll never understand the people who frequent Starbucks. A subpar and overpriced cup on the best of days, an insult to the concept of coffee itself on others.
Mainstay main mainly mainstream Maine REMEMBER MAIN
For some folks I think they're just bored and stuck in towns where Starbucks is the most exotic thing around.
I went to Starbucks two times in my life and both times it was mediocre at best. I would rather go to some normal local cafe.
isnt it slightly better shit coffee than the oldschool shit coffee anglos tend to serve?
i've never been to starbucks cos i've had proper vile american coffee before. and proper vile english coffee. and proper vile german coffee. maaan, what is it with germanics making coffee as if it were tea?!
so anyway, i dont want to try a slightly better version of that, but maybe it gave it an edge in coffee-deserts like the majority of the US?
I suppose the part that’s the main offense is the sheer wastefulness of paying that much for coffee that’s made as cheaply as possible. It’s a step or two above instant and the entire ladder above in price. People are mostly paying for the silly amount of syrup that gets added and the “convenience” of waiting in line for a coffee servant instead of putting the pot on a timer/cold brew in the fridge and having a thermos ready in the morning.
While I’m being totally reasonable about the topic of starbucks, they’ve done this amazing thing called a “pup cup”. Because the car gets lonely if you leave it for too long they encourage people taking their dogs through the drive through and ordering a side of whipped creamfor the poor pooch. They can’t digest that stuff well even if it wasn’t borderline poisonous to those of us who can. Congratulations, they’ve invented canine diabetes.
