Blackshirts, obviously. Assassination of Julius Caesar is also really good if you want a shift from modern politics and understand how Caesar's presence in Roman politics would've been see from the perspective of a working class Roman
I agree, Assassination can be seen as well-referenced critique of conventional Roman scholarship as it challenges the bias of the primary sources the former scholars cite extensively when writing about the late Roman Republic.
read this before I knew who Parenti was. great book, but blackshirts + reds is probably the best entry point.
