The nose was a congenital deformity he was born with or something. Like not even "he did the evil magic so his nose fell off" just "people with deformities are inherently evil".

I don't remember that at all. He was born as a normal dude, and was a normal looking dude up until he died. It isn't until after he was reborn from some kind of evil ritual that he gets the no-nose form which I'm not even 100% certain is described in the books, it might just be a movie thing.

But no, Tom Riddle, the guy who went on to become Mr. Evil No-nose, had a normal nose as far as I know(s).

I’m embarrassed to know this, but it’s only his first reborn form from the first book that has no nose. He exists as a face stretched across the back of professed quirrels bald head hence the flat nose. There’s no mention of his later forms having this feature in the books, it’s just a movie thing

Uh but anyway you're basically right he was evil pretty much just for the sake of it. Dumbledore had suspicions he didn't act on when they first met, and by the time Voldemort had graduated he had already killed someone (and framed Hagrid's pet for it) in order to split of a piece of his soul for psuedo immortality.
