Particularly pertaining to early colonialism or Whitlam. But anything is good.
Also please don't flood this with tired jokes about the emu war, or the desert, or backwards toilets or some such bullshit.
Its pretty difficult to find leftist lit in Aus because of how little interest there is in socialism. I've found websites that sell books written by socialists or leftists, but I haven't gotten around to reading any, mostly because I'm not even sure where to start since there doesn't seem to be a prominent Australian socialist voice/author that other countries have. They're also a bit expensive due to how scarce the books are.

Lance Sharkey wrote a lot. He was General Secretary of The Communist Party of Australia for a bit as well.

This isn't a complete archive of what he wrote, but it's most of it.
If you haven't read How Labour Built Neoliberalism make that priority. Best book to understand Autralian political economy since the 70s, and unmasks a lot of the myths and distortions about Australian politics and the labour movement.
I've also got my eye on a few titles that I haven't read yet- have heard really good things about The Fatal Shore, A New Brittanica and The Asset Economy
