    Well it mainly represents the pandemic, the top of the pyramid, or the 1%, remain unscathed while a sea of agony ravages below.

      My death of the author interpretation is that it represents the collective human labor and misery that go into building a work like the pyramids

        that works too! the tower reversed represent the avoidance of disaster which is why i went with covid, but i like your interpretation

          Yeah that makes sense, but that title kind of influenced my read of it: like the tower reversed in time, spilling the inputs that went into its construction onto the land in a great torrent.

          Idk I'm still in bed in bed waking up lol
