It's between 5 to 9 people infected per case on average, depending on people's behaviour...
And because it's the amount of people infected per case, growth is exponential. Hopefully they require vaccination or something (who am I kidding they probably don't)

Yeah if I lived in Chicago I'd quarantine as much as possible and wear a mask everywhere when I have to leave the house for work or grocery shopping
