There's no way this doesn't throw off not only the pacing of every scene but change the soundtrack enough that it changes the mood of every scene. Just like enjoy things and stop obsessing with getting through stuff as quickly as possible?

This genuinely says a lot about society.

I used to always watch/listen to video essays at double speed, until I realised that just meant I was spending less time enjoying them. It;s insane how much our culture priorities speed over enjoyment.

I often have a hard time deciding on what to do because I'm debating what is the "optimal" use of my spare time. My brain has been completely broken. Thought to be fair, being in STEM probably did more damage than just living in an efficiency obsessed society.

Oh thank goodness I'm not the only person (also STEM-poisoned). It's a curse. I truly don't know how to just relax.

I got that programming out of my head, and have actually been better at using my time because of it. I can spend more quality time working on papers or reading because I'm not worrying about using it well, and can just start watching anime or reading manga or hang out with friends whenever. It's good to try and schedule and make use of your time, just make sure it's for you, not someone with a profit motive.
