“Pakistan is just considered only to be useful in the context of somehow settling this mess which has been left behind after 20 years of trying to find a military solution when there was not one,” Khan told foreign journalists at his home in Islamabad on Wednesday.

“I think that the Americans have decided that India is their strategic partner now, and I think that’s why there’s a different way of treating Pakistan now,” Khan said

India-Pakistan(in the context of China-Soviet-USA) relations is seriously the funniest foreign policy clusterfuck story I've ever seen. CIA agents overseeing ISI agents to ship Chinese made Norinco rifles and RPGs to Saudi rebels in Afghan to fuck with Red Army kinda stuff.

USA is always the devil but Pakistani military intelligence has had a big hand in proliferating fundamentalist Islam in the 70s-90s to gain regional influence and suppress communist/left leaning dissent. China joined the fun bc they got to fuck wirh USSR together.
