The woman, who a witness said had been drinking, picked up the handgun, “turned on the laser sight and was pointing it at the floor to get the cat to chase it,” when the gun went off, the complaint filed Thursday said.
The man, who was standing in a doorway, was shot in the thigh, authorities said. He left and went into another apartment, where police found him after responding to a 911 call, the Kenosha News reported.
Prolly grazed if he straight up just left? :soviet-hmm:
The woman told police she thought the magazine had been taken out of the gun and said it “accidentally went off,” according to the complaint.
Actually, to gun comrades: what kinda gun would need a laser sight, which you can pass around? Or this is some duct-tape deal?
Plenty of guns either have rails built in to let you mount flashlights/(IR)laser sights/scopes etc. For pistols its an under barrel mounting for most items with some lasers having a special pressure sensor that activates the laser when you press down slightly on the trigger.

Its one of those things I would trust very few people with on the grounds of the amount of training necessary to mechanically being a extremely skilled combatant. Also it's a stupid fucking gimmick which is why the majority of extremely skilled combatants, such as special operations personnel, don't use it. If there's a need for laser sights it's only for IR night operations, and even then it's situational to the point they'll keep them switched off unless otherwise directed to.
Lots of modern pistols can accept flashlight/laser attachments, and a few have a laser pointer built in.
