why is it easier for tech bros to imagine terraforming mars than it is to stop burning fossil fuels?
You ever have a room so dirty that “tidying it up” a bit every day would never cut it so you have to take a whole day to pull everything out of the room, load half the shit into contractor bags, and rearrange all your furniture?
I think it’s that same mentality, fossil fuel is so baked into our economy the idea of changing it seems daunting to the point I think some people genuinely think that building a new economy from scratch is just easier. Now doing it ON MARS is fucking stupid but I get where the logic comes from.
It's gonna be wild when tech bros realize that it's harder to live on or terraform an alien planet this it is to fix the one we evolved to survive on
