It’s not directed at the people themselves. It’s more of a satirical take on the US invasion and how nothing was solved or came close to winnable in the last 20 years and the years before the invasion. Then we leave and immediately any and all work “done” there is erased. No one here is pro Taliban. But they are something that Afghanistan and the regions surrounding it need to deal with, not the US or other western powers thousands of miles away.
They were a reaction that formed out of the history of our involvement in the region. It’s not funny in the human level, but the larger systemic forces at play are a satire.
Yeah, it’s a good thing the women in Afghanistan never suffered at the hands of American/western imperialism.
