I used to give blood to the Red Cross, then found out how shady they are. Shame, it's much easier than donating at one of my local hospitals, too. Half the time I gave blood it was practically on a whim, then I'd bus home a little lightheaded for the experience.
I gave blood regularly until they asked me to do a plasma donation and then started hounding me every week.

Ah, that's gives me a good idea. I hate giving blood because I feel very sick afterwards, I could have just said I was gay, instead of my go to excuse which was to say that I'm actually a vampire and the temptation of all the blood bags would be to great.
I'm honestly a bit annoyed they finally lifted the restrictions here, now I feel lazy for not donating
