A street kitchen set up by the Australian Communist Party to help homeless people in the heart of Adelaide's CBD is facing eviction but the group is resisting the push, raising questions about a local businesswoman and high-ranking bureaucrat.

"She identified herself as 'Lois', she said that she was from the Department of Human Services … and what we were doing was fostering dependence among a section of the Aboriginal community," he said.

"There was an argument about that because we're there once a week — we can hardly provide a service on which people would depend."

Later, the group discovered it was Lois Boswell, the chief executive of the Department of Human Services.

    Also, real cool with the use of dehumanizing language here, "fostering dependence among a section of the Aboriginal community"; interpretively read as "stop helping these dumb ******** because they're too dumb to help themselves if you do"
