A woman who was in the news for like 2 days over six years ago for impersonating a black woman. No that wasn't "good" on her part, of course, but jfc move on. I think it says a lot about stupidpolers. They miss all the nuance in her story, like how it clearly wasn't some craven career move (white people can work for the NAACP, especially in a place like Spokane). IIRC she had a really messed up, traumatic childhood; and I'm sure all this had something to do with coping with that. Not to mention by all accounts she was good at her job and did a lot for the black community in Spokane.

They think her story is some epic own of the idea of identification but... it isn't? They implicitly turn her story into thinly veiled transphobia, which is just straight up gross.

Just like chuds (see Jussie Smollett) focus on one person, they hone in on the actions of one person out a population of like 330 million. They criticize the actions of one person instead of thinking analytically about broader issues regarding race, identity, and capitalism. Because it's easy and doesn't require much thinking.

God I just really hate stupidpoler / nazbol types, you all can fuck off with your class reductionism and join up with the chuds. Losers.

What's telling is that Dolezal/Smollett are pretty much the only examples of [whatever the fuck they're trying to say] years after the fact. If this was actually a real phenomenon and not individualized fuckups, there would be countless examples from much more recently.

Contrast that with the relatively recent "right-wing crank pretends covid isn't real and then dies from it" bit. There are easily a dozen newsworthy examples of that, and it's been maybe 18 months.

Also see Jessica Krug, CV Vitolo, H.G. Carillo (he was actually a black guy who pretended to be Cuban), Kelly Kean Sharp, Satchuel Cole, and Natasha Lycia Ora Bannan. I'm afraid it is actually a thing

Huh, wonder why they don't stay more current with their dunking, then. It'd be like us still laughing it up over this guy:

<did a lot for the black community in Spokane.

on the scale of settler vampires, she's less bad than Liz Warren who had never even visited the tribes she cannibalized

One of the regulars over at r/SouthAfricanleft regularly posts on the stupididpol sub and has a local word for c*nt in their username. It's weird because they follow all the rules laid out by the mods in the SAleft sub about being inclusive, etc, and genuinely seem to be a good person, but spend so much time on the stupididpol sub. I honestly can't figure it out.

They want to receive the solidarity of the left without giving any.

I don't think it's that, they've shown solidarity before, as much as you can online. I think that they're just brainwormed because the "liberation party" has been in power for 25+ years and there hasn't been much liberation

Anyone using Racial Dozeal to bash trans people can fuck right off , but what Rachael Dozeal did was wrong. In retrospect, however, it prefigures the recent wave of white people in academia that have been exposed for assuming a PoC identity.

The common thread I've observed in those cases are:

    1. That these people do genuinely identity with and want to be PoC
    2. And they are also interested in getting ahead in their careers, and becoming spokespeople and leading figures in their field of study. Gaining clout generally, you could say.
    3. They're often the most militant in policing PoC identity for actual PoC people

I encourage you to watch this video of Jessica Krug, a white woman, performing brownface while positing herself as a speaker for the community

We don't need to rehabilitate Dozeal because the right is opportunistically using her as a cudgel

Fair point, we don't need to rehabilitate her. But she's just not relevant anymore, really.

Definitely. I'm actually wondering if it's because she's been in the news lately for starting an OnlyFans. And then more news because people thought it was funny that OnlyFans was going to ban adult content the next week.

It may have triggered the reptile part of the chud brain to try approximating humor

Her case isn't even really egregious it was like you said in the news for like a day then people moved on. But, somehow, she's this scathing rebuke of people who self-identify. It's ridiculous terminally online shit normal people really don't care about.
