I initially did not understand the film, but then the scene of Comrade Bickle watching pornographic films in a theater alone appeared on the screen. At that moment, I came to realize that I, too, was sitting in a theater by myself and with my military fatigues still on. I realized that Comrade Bickle was literally me.
