I’ve mentioned this before, but I lived by a park that had one of these a few years back. I’d go to my school campus and print out copies of The Principles of Communism and put them in the little library during my late afternoon walks. They’d always be gone by the next day, so maybe someone had their eyes opened a little. Probably just threw it away but. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I've seen these around, but never taken/left anything from them. Now i have the urge to leave lefty/commie/soviet history books in all of the ones I see. Now i just need to acquire the books to distribute!

I always grab books out of these and then remember I don’t know how to read (really though I always get distracted or don’t have room in my pack or I just lose it).

Chapter 1 on The Art of the Cinema:

One of my comrades showed me a western film called "Taxi Driver" directed by a so-called Martin Scorsese. I initially did not understand the film, but then the scene of Comrade Bickle watching pornographic films in a theater alone appeared on the screen. At that moment, I came to realize that I, too, was sitting in a theater by myself and with my military fatigues still on. I realized that Comrade Bickle was literally me.

    Powerful stuff
