Any of you ever suddenly get targeted advertisements for things you've never mentioned on the internet but you were just talking to someone about irl with your phone nearby? :thinking-about-it:
I block all manner of ads as much as possible wherever possible, narrowly allowing as few services to access as few things as is necessary, and uh... no, I don't actually have any stories about targeted advertising.
I use adblock as much as I possibly can, and I still get targeted ads on apps like instagram or when I send a YouTube video to someone's TV. There's no escape.
