I keep hearing Bolsanaro is going to try a Trump style insurrection. Any Brazilian comrades have a sense of how things are going? I'm seeing clips of Bolsanaro speaking to large crowds on Twitter but I don't speak Portuguese so hard to gauge his rhetoric or the political situation in Brazil.

Bolsonaro doesn't have the mass or elite support necessary to seize power by force unless there's some secret goings-on with the military brass the public isn't privy to. We've been seeing a lot of histrionic media coverage in the Anglo press about this, I wouldn't blow it out of proportion.

We shouldn't Deus Ex CIA this thing though. As LeninsRage pointed out, the success of any shenanigans will depend primarily on institutional support on the ground. Without that, it doesn't matter how much the CIA supports you. You will end up like Guaido.
