I’ve never seen more than 500 users active at a time. So I’d guess we only have a thousand or so active members with the rest being alt accounts, trolls, or users who’ve left. Maybe a couple thousand people who check in once a week or something.
Right after chacha came online there were 1000+ concurrent users. Then it turned out it was actually the open tabs a user had open in their browser irrc. After an update I saw 700-800 on the regular which unfortunately kept dropping to now ~500 (at the beginning we had a lot of struggle sessions which might ve been the cause). Also during election night I saw the number pick up to 1000. Maybe the dev team can share factual/non annectdotal stats

I’d say more than a thousand. Plenty of subreddits have more accounts than us but less concurrent users
What if this site is just two people (one real poster and someone with 16,999 accounts)?
