Guzmán led the Maoist rebel group which in the 1980s almost brought the Peruvian state to its knees.

Maybe boiling babies alive wasn't the correct path towards communism?

Just told my 10yo daughter about Chairman Gonzalo. She had tears in her eyes. And then she did the Wakanda pose and said "#Gonzakanda forever" - which is the sort of pop culture cross-over that I can celebrate
