Haven't played it myself, but have read/heard enough discussion about it that I'm quite convinced it's very good. You have to get the Macro DLC to get the full effect, though. VVV important.

in his video, errant signal pointed out it kind of makes a salient point about the gig economy and neoliberalism by making the challenges force you to put productivity over artfulness. I thought it was interesting, haven't played the game myself yet tho.
Tauranga is a real place too. Beautiful little town, great surf beach. Wonder if it's accurate.
I played the itch.io prototype version and it very cool. Has a sorta punk vibe and it's just a great example of the many things games can be.
