According to some quick searches it can be done, either with a tool on Lutris or something called Wrye Flash. Personally I'm not sure I would want to deal with it on an OS it's not intended to run on given how it performs on its native platform. Depending on how much you want to play it it could be worth just setting up a partition or VM of windows exclusively to patrol the Mojave.
im currently running heavily modded skyrim through mod organizer 2 (run through lutris), pretty sure it does new vegas too and it links with the nexus to download your shit. cant do some of the other executables to autocalculate lod and cant run fancy enb graphics shit, but it seems to work really well with only very occasional crashes for all the other stuff
i tried the vortex manager through lutris as well and it worked, but there was some issue getting it to work with script extenders for some of the fancier mods
