Just planted about 250 seeds for fall crops. Did a little bit more than usual this year cause I plan on gifting some carrot and lettuce plants to a few people who I think will enjoy starting a little gardening themselves. A few people have commented to me how they want to start their own garden so I've taken it upon myself to get them started.
So far the weather has gotten considerable colder this last week, not sure exactly what's going on but anything is better than 90-100f+. It would be nice to have an actual fall season for once here instead of crazy ass fires like we've been having the last few years
Yay growing food rules!
It's pretty therapeutic for myself. Also as cheesy as it sounds, connecting with nature and learning to really appreciate the work involved in food is great. Like the amount of soil and pots and equipment I've bought is more than I'll probably ever make back in gained food but there is just something really refreshing about having food growing. Fills some weird void inside of me idk lol
Well I mean capitalism alienates people from what they produce and you don't get closer to production than growing something for yourself on your own terms. I'm glad you can get that feeling!
Yeah for sure, absolutely. There is a bit to it but it's nice tapping into that process.
