Pretty cool RPG, but the harder difficulty levels are bullshit, lots of grinding in those. Sadly some bosses only appear there.
I recommend it, the story is interesting if you are a mythology nerd.
Also, check out grim dawn, it's a spiritual sequel to this in a fantasy postapocalypse with the same cool multiclass system
Nature/Warfare best class
It's one of the few ARPGS where melee isn't objectively worse than ranged
I've tried bows, staves and spellcasting respectively, and feel like they all work out alright though some styles are harder to level with than others (looking at you, hunting mastery).
Weird way to say that fire wizard who gets a big firey golem / necromancer
Tried it and it's ok I guess. Very high tooltip dps and kills bosses fast, but everything has pierce resist in legendary difficulty so results may vary + it's squishier than Champion, who gets like 7k hp without even trying and still kills bosses quick
You're not wrong about survivability 😅
Brigands are a lot more about nothing being able to take your hits than taking hits themselves, you gotta dodge pretty much everything, but to me at least that's the most fun way to play the game.
I mainly played with one friend in particular, the best combo we found was a Brigand for group clear (poison early traps late) and boss killing (the whole study prey takedown lethal strike wombo combo) and a Templar for CC and tanking.
Volcanic Orb is also just amazing in general and incredible fun to build around but also requires a lot better and more specific gear to make viable.
Looks kinda like Diablo but with a different aesthetic. Neat!
