I'd like to start one and would like to know how many people are interested. I've seen (and been in ) a lot of writing discords but some of them explicitly want no politics talk. If anyone's interested I will look at opening one specifically for it.
I want to have a place where you can have discussions about socialist/communist theme in your stories, and write characters 'inspired' by John Brown etc. that can be both in your face and/or subtle. Could be both as well!

I can't seem to use Discord anymore without giving them a phone number, which I flatly refuse to do. I really do like the idea though. Getting together a Hexbear braintrust and putting out essays and articles would be awesome. There was the Hexbear Zine initiative as well, but I've been negligent in checking up on that.
Could be just verification, some discords want verified phone numbers but I've set this one up so you only need a verified email.

I feel your pain. I don't get why either, like what, you're going to write a 'revolution' novel/fantasy without it being political?
