It's the second time this month Musk was highly complimentary of the nation that's imperative to his electric vehicle company, saying it's a "global leader digitalization."
China executed 14 people with assets of at least a 1 billion yuan ($155 million) during the past eight years as the government expanded its fight against corruption, according to the New Culture News newspaper.
The dead include Yuan Baojing, a former stockbroker executed by lethal injection in 2006 for the murder of a man who had tried to blackmail him, according to the report. Wang Zhendong, chairman of the Yingkou Donghua Trading Group, was executed in 2008 for a scheme that persuaded investors to buy and breed ants, the report said.
Why would they kill Musk? I mean he is not even gonna be there but it's much different killing some local wannabe mobster and Elon Musk, who's not even their citizen and are seemingly trying to attract.
I mean, they'd probably just deport him if anything. But I think the age of China seeking Western VC is increasingly behind us. Beijing has material infrastructure while the West just has a declining rate of profit. There are plenty of other countries that can do American style investing, but nobody else with the Chinese industrial base and professional population.
It would be funny if he went to China thinking they would never kill him like their billionaires and he was wrong.
:xi-reactionary-spotted:
He has to be caught doing some kind of corruption.
I give him a week.
Why would they kill him? I think you have a weird version of China in mind lol
