Rowling is a bad author with terrible prose and the entire franchise is trash
The recurring joke of DAtDA being a cursed position was genuinely kinda amusing. It even made for some decent social commentary, with the position's chronic mismanagement reflecting the adult world's failure to take its own history seriously.
Rowling had a George Lucas like habit of telling an incredibly prescient and materialist story in the background while putting trivial goofy bullshit in the foreground. One reason why people care enough about her to want to constantly dunk on her stems from the legit good politics of a series that paints liberals as feckless cowards, incompetent dweebs, and paid-to-lose hacks pretty much straight up until the bitter end of the series. Then this woman gets on Twitter and does Lib Shit in a way that would signal she's taking a newly opened teaching role at Hogwarts next semester.
