    Does that have the same connotation in Syria, and does its use predate the Nazis? It might be yikes, but it might also be a cultural difference.

    That's a pretty wide range, not sure it means anything. Though a couple of those parties seem pretty fucking yikes - especially the SSNP from what I can tell. I'd love for someone who knows more to chime in, though.
