I want to stay informed about what's happening around the world, but I don't have time for multiple hours of daily content that most news sites and podcasts put out. Are there any good podcasts or newletters that cover global news, and are like maximum an hour a week worth of content? I confess to usually getting news from The Economist audio edition, but they have become particularly nauseous lately.
Derek Davidson's Foreign Exchanges newsletter might be what you're looking for, though you might want to skim it if you don't want to invest more than an hour a week.
I've heard of it, I'll check it out. I think mainly what I need to get away is the excessive release schedule of barely digested daily news. It seems like all publications have moved to this instantaneous firehose of constant content.
it's really good and honestly quite funny in spite of the content
I second this recommendation, it's really comprehensive as far as foreign affairs go in way that's very concise and isn't just general liberal droning about the rules based international order Washington Consensus Uighur Havana Syndrome communism no iphone Venezuela
