Remember a few years back there was a kerfuffle over the DPRK assassinating Kim Jong-Nam for "no apparent reason"? Well turns out he was a fuckin spy.

And you know what we do to spies right? SMERSH them.

However, he lost his father's trust after he was involved in a series of problematic incidents, including trying to enter Japan on a false passport in 2001. At that time, he said he was attempting to visit the Tokyo Disneyland

It was kind of an open secret that Kim Jong Nam was in the pocket of the US, although it was only in the last two years the public found out that he was literally a CIA and NIS asset. Which also kind of explains why absolutely no one gave a shit, like the only countries that made statements were the US and South Korea denouncing the North. The only other one was Vietnam who was angry that North Korea got one of their citizens involved and they got a formal apology from North Korea.

At the time, there was speculation that Kim might have been seeking asylum in South Korea, but SBS reported that the former and current officer whom it contacted dismissed this, saying it would have put a considerable burden on inter-Korean relations.

Big lol, ruining your life and dying for a country that won't even let you in it

of note: the women got off of the charges somehow by saying they were used to playing pranks and were manipulated. how she didnt get the nerve agent to kill her is beyond me as it can kill you with skin contact so tbh i do think they were in on it just the DPRK paid their lawyers or something. like how do you drop a death sentence down to 1 month imprisonment lol :kim-drip:

Fucking national geographic might be the most openly anti-communist "popular" documentary channel out there. Remember the "US troops accidentally invaded Russia during the civil war" article?
