The Deku Butler seemed like a genuinely morally good character in the Zelda universe and it really made me actually sad as a kid that he discovers in the end Majora murdered his son.

I think Majora's Mask is an all around better game when compared to it's sister game Ocorina of Time, OOT was super campy and is the bread and butter of the Zelda franchise, (there's nothing wrong with any of that but I wouldn't call it Genre breaking) MM is like a fan-romhack come to life, super unique, weird, and a morbid atmosphere.
