A western-watcher would say that the collapse of western art is intrinsically related to their adherence to the most extreme forms of Christianity (that's what "western liberal values" ultimately are), where the world is divided between "saviors" (people with the same exact worldview of white american boomers) and "evil-doers" who are reduced to caricatures, no in between, no subtlety, no understanding of culture or history, no curiosity. Occasionally one of the "evil doers" is given "development" only to merely give emotional support to the "saviors", like western propaganda quoting some fascists in other countries to support american barbarism.
These are the same people who think they are culturally diverse societies but can't produce and are materially forbidden from producing anything that deviates from the most extreme forms of western imperialist "liberalism".
The obsession of anglo societies with atrocity porn in fiction is also a manifestation of such psychological rot. For example, some anglos praise games like "Last of Us" for its story, but it is yet another atrocity porn story with some makeup to make it seem deeper than what it actually is. It's like a caricature of the worldview of white conservatives lmao, this is basically why they hate anything remotely "foreign". like I was only really thinking that because I saw the Soviet film channel on Youtube and their 1970's films were all fairly wholesome and not like....insane and during that era in the US you just had nothing but incredibly violent slashers were a lot of the times you had young, beautiful women getting murdered in all these weird suggestive ways and I have to wonder if I'm fucking crazy or it's just that we live in an extremely violent, depraved society and our art has to reflect that back at us....like I just have gotten to thinking that a healthy society wouldn't want to show or look at shit like that.
I sometimes think I just spent too much time on gore websites when I was still 4chan brained and when you expose yourself to real violence, even virtually it just becomes really gross to you.
I've always had the feeling that Americans are kind of a childlike people, like the idea of death in our society makes people incredibly uncomfortable and I have to wonder if the reason PTSD is so prevalent here is because people are conditioned to think violence is this cool and awesome thing by our media and then they go to Afghanistan and watch their buddy get turned into giblets by an IED or they blow some toddlers head off and they see stomach acid squirting out of where their esophagus was and they realize what it really means or something like that
maybe I'm too leftist brained despite ironic fashposting sometimes but like I can't help feeling that Anglo Saxon/Western society is just incredibly fucking barbaric, and this is only avoided by being so racist that your barbarism is just noble self defense against the indigent hordes of mud people seeking to despoil their proud civilization
