Love their year-end roundups. One of the best retro video game channels. They're so thorough.
I usually have a friendly competition with an online friend to see who can beat more games but this year he won since I ended up buying Dyson Sphere Program and Borderlands 3 so those took up a big chunk of my free time.
I did beat Supraland, the dlc, and the sequel but this past year was more reading than gaming for me.
This next year I'm gonna tackle some retro JRPGs from my post the other day. Right now working on Golden Sun and then planning on Mother 2 and 3, Mario RPG, Saga Frontier, Grandia, and a few othersthat were mentioned.
I'm also making a soft promise to myself to finally play Disco Elysium and Satisfactory.
Fuck, Disco Elysium is a game I gotta' play. Maybe I'll add it to my list (probably not).
It's been on my radar for a long time just like Undertale and I just haven't gotten around to playing either. I bought Disco so it's officially in my backlog. I think once this Borderlands kick dies down I might make that my evening unwind game. Tho it's on my Switch so it is portable if I can steal it back from my kid, that is.
I beat Fighting Force (psx) and Advance Wars 1 and 2 (GBA) on my handheld
Nice. Particularly the AW games. I don't think I've ever beat an SRPG/turn-based, though I did play the first 10 or so missions of AW1 at one point and really like the expanded rock-paper-scissors formula it has.
Talk about what games you played this year, if you want.
I think the only games I actually beat are the ones I played with my friend: PS3 Demon's Souls (replayed for me, new for him) and Resident Evil 1 on GameCube (first time for both of us). I guess I technically "beat" World Of Horror though I haven't completed it since it's really designed to be played over and over and over. I got halfway-ish through Elden Ring and Tears Of The Kingdom each, I think.
