So hear me out, if you are ever home brewing your own dungeon/adventure/whatever this is actually really useful. There are generally four types of players, or at least four qualities in players, and if you need to add detail and things to do having something that caters to every type is a good place to start.

Hot take: this compass isn’t cringe

    hybrid builds

    • Killer-Socializers: the usual reluctant killer type figure in any piece of media; always Neutral Good

    • Killer-Achievers: there's no need to represent this killer type figure in media except as a joke or for comedy-horror thrills, since no work of fiction could hope to match reality in all its stupidity; always Lawful Neutral or Lawful Evil

    • Achiever-Explorers: this build was used by some of the earliest gamers, most famous of which were the first colonial empires and their gaming clans, but the legacy lives on to this day; always Neutral Evil

    • Socializer-Explorers: these people are the sworn enemies of the volcel police, always Chaotic Neutral

    • Killer-Explorers: this build is used by those who want to find new and inventive ways to kill things; always Neutral

    • Social-Achievers: this cookie cutter build is used by podcasters, streamers and other munchkin type players; either Chaotic Good or Lawful Evil
