The small city I live in has an atrocious city government (majority, including mayor, dem) that responded to Covid by slashing funding to our large homeless shelter and who passed a SPLOST tax to get a "housing program" started that has only served to condemn the homes of POC families.
Even more proving politics is just a scam in Amerikkka, our county government, much poorer and R-majority, stepped up to cover the homeless shelter's new budget deficit.
Tishaura Jones in St. Louis is alright. Afaik she's actually taking steps to defund the police and actually represent the heavily redlined north city. Before her, shitlibs all the way down though.
and all it took was months of riots after centuries of brutal oppression...
