      Yea, but its a sub, and water literally never gets colder than 33 F, otherwise it's just ice lol.

        salt water can get much colder, theres a reason they salt the roads where its cold

        pressure + high salinity causes it to be much colder in the poles

        basically all the 'fresh' water rises to the top after icing forcing more and more salt downwards. also is the reason why the ocean floor isnt iced up somehow

        coldest temp ever recorded was something like -88c
