It’s a mix, but I’d say yes. She is about as close as you’re going to get to an outright communist revolutionary in a nintendo game.

The crest system she wants to abolish is a pretty clear stand-in for the class system and inherited wealth. Her whole revolution is about creating a meritocracy and dismantling nobility. Has some lib brain worms, but the ideology is against reformism and she clearly wants to dismantle and abolish the current system.

The game is also realistic about the types of alliances you have to make to get things done and wield power. She makes a really dicey alliance out of necessity that goes horribly wrong if your character isn’t there to back her up.

She’s also a lesbian, which rocks.
