Is there something about being rich that makes you want to be a pedophile?
There is something about being rich that makes groups like the CIA want them to be pedophiles. Blackmail is a very effective way to control people, and pedophile rings are a great way to set them up for blackmail, so there’s a big incentive in pushing the rich and powerful (who are likely already prone to abusive/controlling behavior) in this direction.
I get that part but I don't think cracking open a boy with the cold ones is something you get peer pressured into. That one is not a little oopsie like doing a bup of coke at a party.
In addition to that encouragement I mentioned, it also seems like rich people would be less concerned about violating the law and/or social norms due to their position in society, because… Who’s going to stop them if they do? They really are above the law, so probably no one. For them, it might not be all that different than doing a bump of coke at a party.
That's the thing. Rich people got class solidarity. Maybe not everyone but you would think enough rich dads would tell their son's fraternity so that it is widely known not to trust the feds and to keep away from sex parties with a kids table.
Like, have you seen how much rich people complain about service staff? Thr stress of having the feds squeeze you over compromising pictures would have them writing terrible op eds about how they are mistreated. There are not generally robust disciplined people

I don't think it's typically rich kids who are the victims of these rings, though. It's poor kids, and they're probably taken from groups/areas/countries where people are destitute, and where people going missing isn't noticed as much.

Feds aren't going to squeeze them, especially when it's other government agencies or influential groups who are running the rings in the first place. The only pressure they might face would come from the media, and they are getting pretty annoyed with that.
