It is going to break the brains of every Brexit voter in the country to be faced with King Charles and Queen Camilla. That, combined with an ever collapsing economy, the reunification of Ireland and Scottish independence…the death of the United Kingdom is almost happening in real time. I think England could honestly go full fash quite quickly.

As amusing as it is to laugh at Brexit Gammons, there is going to be immense suffering and violence coming for the most vulnerable on that godforsaken island.

I don't think brexit voters are going to give a tiny little shit about charlie's milquetoast pro europe views tbh. if he's the king he's the king and they're duty bound by the flag shaggers charter of 1066 to love him more than their mams. it won't present a flicker of dissonance.

True, the royals do hold a pretty cosmic place for gammons. Even with how hated Charles has been for all his life.

I reckon there’s a chance that there’d be a campaign against Charles from the right, as silly as that sounds. I think it all depends on how vocal Charles is, and how grim things get for ordinary people. I could see the government and the press turning on Charles along the lines of a slapstick version of To Play The King to maintain their grasp on power. I might be afflicted with :LIB: brain with this line of thought though :shrug-outta-hecks:

idk, I just can't see it really. I don't think his beliefs are a threat to power in any way so why would they bother?

the extent of his environmentalism from what I've seen is pretty much geared around sustainable farming and fishing

his housing and nhs advocacy is pretty much just localism

(don't get me wrong its probably better than what either party are offering atm)

but the right would be able to metabolise that stuff really easily, and it'd save them a pretty big schism point.

there are definitely some right wing media and political figures that have axes to grind with him but I think they're good at getting in line when it benefits the tories.

            be funny though
