The summit literally did have working class organizers and activist trying to help people. I honestly don't know what the fuck is going on with the people here where all you do is shit on anyone who tries to do anything. It makes me wish the sub did stay dead because what the fuck is the point of any of this. You're actively making things worse for no reason other than to spite random twitter people.

If you're so concerned with making the world better stop being a mark for two bit charlatans that promise things they have no means or intentions of actually delivering and start working with actual orgs in your community. This is the point of this, Twitter activists aren't real activists, log off.

Honestly what the fuck is this? There were real life activist using the platform to try and reach real people. Like I don't know how you simultaneously try to bandwangon the message of actual organizers and then shit on them for doing the things you pretend to do. Just fuck off with all this. You are the most online people in the room and nobody is falling for this crap.

So because a couple actual organizers showed up these clowns are legit? What, like how they took a pic with Fred Hampton Jr so obviously that means he's ok with them using his father's name even though he explicitly said he isn't? Are there even any national unions at this summit? This is supposedly for a general strike, right? The American work force is mostly ununionized labor and gig workers at this point, if any kind of general strike would work it would be because the national unions get together, weigh the costs/benefits and if they decide to go through with it raise a strike fund. A bunch of youtubers meeting up because "wE hAvE tO dO sOmEtHiNg!" and managing to get a couple actual organizers to speak amidst a room full of anti-vaxxers and boogaloo boy apologists isn't even remotely a serious effort at making change, and just because it makes you feel good doesnt mean it is.

Look I don't give a shit what rambling explanation you have. Just stop being a dick and let people at least try to fix things in peace.

Alright I listened to 3 hours of the summit and didn't learn anything about the general strike. I learned the people who organized force the vote have zero responsibility for it failing though.

E: and I'll say this because I keep hearing them say don't listen to the haters; I said and believed a lot of stuff they're saying at one point. 'Didnt read marx or capital but I've got the marx of capital all over me' I was wrong.

If the goal of this is for me to be able to go out and agitate for a general strike it isn't working. I'm not sure I could even explain to a sympathetic co worker why they're calling for a general strike. Idk ill listen to the whole thing
