A lot of Chuds have baseline sympathy for at the stereotypical image of hardhat factory workers at the very least, especially the younger ones in the military. Labor activism is such a crucial entry point for the left because everyone hates their job and hates their boss (including Chud enlisted who no doubt despise their "woke" "bluecheck" junior officers).
