The Communist Party of Chile, whose acronyms are PCCh or PC, is a Chilean political party founded on January 2, 1922, by Luis Emilio Recabarren, as heir to the Socialist Workers Party (POS) . The PC defines itself as having roots. worker, peasant and intellectual, inspired by the thought of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin, Marxism-Leninism. Its origin is closely linked to the development of the labor and social movement at the beginning of the 20th century, to the diffusion of Marxism as a political philosophy and to the triumph of the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. It is one of the most important parties of the Chilean left, having a long history within the country's political institutions, although in certain periods it has also been outside the law, for example during the governments of Carlos Ibáñez del Campo and Gabriel González Videla, in recent years due to the "Law for the Permanent Defense of Democracy" .
On 1956 because of the XX congress of the PCUS lead by Khrushchev :corn-man-khrush: the Party would Suffer a Split inside its ranks, with the Main Party Supporting Khrushchev and the Splinters eventuallt becoming the Revolutionary Communist Party (PCR) with a Maoist tendency. the PCR would eventually decline in the 70s due to Mao's 3 worlds Theory and his eventual Support of the Pinochet Junta, the PCR would Eventually disappear by the start of the 80's, some Militants would end up leaving the party and eventually form the Communist Party of Chile Proletarian Accion (PC-AP)
The PCCh has participated in different electoral alliances such as the Popular Front (FP). It has held government positions in the administrations of Gabriel González Videla, between 1946 and 1947, and Salvador Allende, between 1970 and 1973.
After the military coup of September 11, 1973, it was banned like the rest of the Marxist political groups. During the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet (1973-1990), it was one of the actors hardest hit by political repression. , before which PCCh went into hiding. In the eighties, as part of the opposition, they participated together with guerrilla groups in armed struggles for democratic recovery. Among these groups, the most prominent was the Patriotic Front. Manuel Rodríguez (FPMR), who would be the armed wing of the PC from 1983 to 1987.
After the return to democracy on March 11, 1990, between that date and March 2014, the PCCh was an opponent of the different governments, militant in different left-wing coalitions, in the same way, not achieving parliamentary representation either. The PCCh recently returned to the National Congress. in the 2009 parliamentary elections, thanks to the election of three deputies. In that year, PCCh would also join the coalition Concertación de Partidos por la Democracia and then Juntos Podemos Más and Por un Chile Justo, in 2012.
The PCCh is currently represented in the Chamber of Deputies and Deputies by Rubén Moraga, Daniel Núñez, Carmen Hertz, Karol Cariola, Boris Barrera, Camila Vallejo, Amaro Labra, Guillermo Teillier and Marisela Santibáñez. So, this is some pedantic archery nerd shit, but I fucking hate compound bow archery, and modern archery in general. Not only are compound bows ugly as shit, but the whole sport seems to be built on late capitalist excessive consumption. There are so many expensive gadgets and doodads to buy for a compound bow that help make you make you more accurate it's almost as if the sport is more about buying stuff than it is about practice and skill training.
I know that from a technical standpoint compound bows are vastly superior to traditional bows, but nobody besides remote hunter-gathers need bows for hunting and warfare anymore, we have guns for that. The only reason to practice archery is for sport, and I think training your skills with a traditional bow is a lot more fun and exciting than driving to Cabela's to get your bow tuned and spending $50 on a peep sight or whatever the fuck.
