I had just finally committed to quitting before seeing all the announcements last night lmao. I had no idea fanfest was going on but this and the new 8man raid as well as the new cyberpunkish city look neat, unfortunately I don't think I'm gonna come back to xiv for a very long time.
This echos what some of the oldest players I know are saying. Like one of my friends said that he let his house go and canceled his account. He has had that house since they were like a thing. I have not played anything since 6.3 and really the only reason I would go back is for FFXI content. To me it was the better game that sadly no one is willing to play.

It is what it is. Endwalker was at least the best possible place to end my xiv journey so I feel content for the most part.
