I mean I don't care about this particular case, because the person selling the shares doesn't really have to do anything except share 15% of their profits, but jesus fucking christ, how do you come up with something like this without immediately thinking "what's the worst that could happen", realizing how exploitable this can be, and going on a bender to erase that idea out of your head?

It's a curious case, because this guy is claiming to have found a very arcane way of getting some dumbasses to pay him $20k to be his friend. But, like so much else in the Clout-Culture world, it's either predicated on being low-tier famous or some pure fabrication The Atlantic is pushing as part of some financier's personal "sell people shares of themselves back to them" grifting scheme.
