The Nürnberg area has (or had) some S-Bahn trains (light rail) that were pulled by GDR made DR-243 electric locomotives and had modernized 80s "X-Wagen" behind it. The seating quality is vastly superior to any other newer trainset and there is also way more leg space etc.
The social relations between classes stay the same regardless of the words used.
