Anime Con is this fascinating con that emerged as like a quarantine con for NY Comic Con. Back in the late 2000s anime started getting bigger and bigger, taking up more and more floorspace, until they quarantined anime to its own hall called Anime Hall. Eventually it outgrew that and now they just have their own convention, which is funny but also means the anime stuff is now back at NY Comic Con as well. I have this image burned into memory, from my first NY Comic Con, of a very large man yelling "YUUUUUUURIIII" at the top of his lungs every twenty seconds at his yuri stand with tons of body pillows of 11 year olds with post its on their nipples. Wild shit.
