Yeah comrade the US hasn’t fought a war on it’s own soil in a century and a half. Every war post WWII has just exist to continue to justify the existence of defense contacts and to be a force of counterrevolution for capital :stalin-smokin:
It really goes back to banks who are positioned to lose a lot if defense businesses they finance fall due to declining demand. This system does not like to gracefully wind down when times change. "Must... seek... more $$$$$"
