    Honestly I weirdly like the usage of "queer" to mean "strange". As long as it's not like "strange, therefore it's bad".

      English being my second language, i learned that meaning first (i had some very old textbooks). Then i realized it was used as a slur, and that it was reclaimed.

      Playing catch-up with semantic developments across different languages can get hairy sometimes.
