That’s fine. But it seems pretty funny that Asian countries hand wring over dog meat just because western countries throw a tantrum over it. The west has nothing to say about the other animals being eaten, but oh nooo, some old Asian guy eats a dog so we need to put him under a microscope because imagine little Timmy’s poodle being turned into a sandwich!
Of course as poorer countries develop, animals’ purpose evolve from pragmatism to also include companionship, but I can’t help but assume most of the prioritization of these policies come from annoying westerners who go gorge burgers and fail to understand that isolation and poverty will result in weird meals.
I'm not in favor or anything but I don't understand the logic under which it's banned in the US. Only happened recently, during Trump's term. Land of the free my ass (for a million reasons but it's just weird to me).
