For the first time. Damn I slept on this. It's great, front to back 10/10. I've of course heard New Noise, which is excellent, but never listened to the rest for some reason.
Were they communists or anarchists? Either way I now follow The Refused Party Program.
Were they communists or anarchists?
Singer Dennis Lyxzén, once voted the sexiest man in Sweden, is a socialist, presumably the rest of the band is too. If you listen carefully, there are some subtle hints in some of their songs.

Such a stellar line.
They mention an old Italian anarchist in one of the songs, so I thought they may be anarchists due to that. It was the one where they talk about '68 IIRC
The instrumentation and genre mixing throughout is just so good.

Catch this in Punk Rock History w/Thomas Pynchon sometime next year probably.
I really gotta get back on that...

Love their hardcore stuff too.
If you want similar, very, very, very explicitly leftist stuff from the US, check out Please Inform The Captain This is a Hijack and it's offshoots, amazing stuff.
Refused's earlieralbum Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent is good too. IWW reference title.
